A Compilation of Haikus

Jungle cats are cool

yes! Those jungle cats are cool

Tigers are big cats.

If you see one, run

They will shred you up your spine,

and leave you behind.

But, tame they may be,

if you respect their culture,

and always say please.

Jonah is tiger.

He has a mellow crumble.

and a pink frosting.

Like a summer cake,

She will sit outside all day,

and glimmer away.

The pen tool is hard

Its got a mind of its own

Making voodoo curse.

Un poco leche

Los hermanos de la sol

cortan el noche.

The hunter’s quiver

Carries a deep, dark secret

That no one will know.

That one was heavy,

as in, it had some feelin’

and a bloody sword.

Clementine apple,

banana pineapple tree,

man, i love the fruit!

Colocation yeah,

that’s definitely a word,

it’s in the diction!

This has been a series of thrills and chills, of dives and dips, of burns and turns, ladies and gents; hold on tightly. These poems will settle your nettles, for good. This has been the good life, featuring Katie and Connor. Duexuesus. Comment below what you think!

The Water slide Called Life

Waterslide

By Anonymous, Atascadero, CA

Life is like a waterslide
Flying down the mountain side.
At times it may seem slow,
But then its go, go, go.
Just as you get a hold of things,
Your raft floats by exploding springs.
Soaked and wet, you continue on.
Thanks to the encouragement of a friend, John.
He helps you all he can
To be a better man.
Another twist, and then a turn,
It’s an opportunity to build and learn.
As this thrilling ride comes to an end,
You wish you had it, to do again.

A water slide is a perfect analogy for life. It is filled with twists and turns ups and downs. It even occasionally will chafe your skin and give you a rash, just like a rough patch in life. I thought of the subject of Water slides because it is such a hot day today and all I want to do is ride down a water slide. over and over and over again. Comment below how badly you want to go on a water slide.

A Poem To Live By

“So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”

~ Chief Tecumseh (Poem from Act of Valor the Movie)

Today, my biology teacher showed me this poem, and I found it very inspirational. I feel that it is what everyone should strive to live like. Comment below what you think of it.
